How I Can Help You

Published Technical Writer

Write on Mission is a woman-owned small business based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. As Owner/Technical Writer, I work on special projects that need an experienced technical writer to focus on telling the story of your work, without the distraction of attending to every day operations. Through interdisciplinary education and years of consulting experience, I have the proven ability to adapt quickly into a variety of industries and hit the ground running in support of your writing requirements (check out my Testimonials for proof statements). Here’s my general process:

I most often start by reviewing any source documents available to get familiar with the project at hand. I then create a very rough draft or outline, depending on the requirements of the deliverable. Next, I conduct informal interviews, the most important part of the process. I ask questions, and more importantly, I listen to and learn from you and your subject matter experts. It is through these interviews that I get to the heart of the matter, — YOUR MISSION. Because a well written document, whether a resume, annual report, magazine article, or research report, is constructed from and strengthened by having an understanding of the experiences and expertise that drive your mission forward. And that understanding is best arrived at through one-on-one discussions.

I work remotely from my clients (domestic and international), approximately 85% of the time. However, I am more than happy to travel to your offices when needed. In fact, I welcome it, because there is no substitute for face time — it is an important part of building a good working relationship.
